Privacy Policy

The short version

Fotilo processes your screenshots and recordings on your Mac. We never receive them.

What stays on your Mac

Screenshots, recordings, history, recognized text, settings and your license key (stored in the macOS Keychain). Fotilo does not include analytics or advertising SDKs.

When Fotilo goes online

Only when you: activate or refresh a Pro license; open the purchase page in Settings (to show your local price); use a translation service you configured yourself (your text is sent to that service under its own terms); download the voice model for dubbing; or check for updates.

What we store when you buy

Your email address, license key, order and subscription identifiers, the country used for regional pricing, and for each activated Mac a one-way hashed device identifier and the Mac's name. We use these only to deliver and manage your license and to answer support requests. Our database runs on Cloudflare.

Payments

Purchases are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Creem (creem.io). Creem handles your payment details, taxes and invoices; we never see your card details.

Deleting your data

Write to support@fotilo.app and we'll delete your license records. You can remove Fotilo from any Mac in Settings → Fotilo Pro.
